Finally up today, a new Bumper survey finds buyers increasingly don't care about a used vehicle's age, just its mileage and history, putting the sweet spot around six years old.

Fifty-nine percent of the two thousand one hundred and sixty-eight respondents said age didn't factor in at all.

Depreciation flattens by year five, while repair costs climb from seven hundred and sixty-one dollars, then over to a grand by year eight.
