You get all that stuff.

Aang's fight with Bumi.

Yeah, the whole Omashu arc tied in with the Mechanist stuff and Jet.

Because obviously that's what they combined in this.

Episode three is probably my least favorite of these.

It's just too much going on overall.

But there's some good humor in there with Bumi's introduction.

And overall, like, I like it.

Um, again, these are all, like, 10-page stories or so.

This one, the intrigue with this one is the fact that it's a Bumi, um, Meelo adventure-

Mm-hmm

... which is kind of random.

Um, basically, um, let's see.

Tenzin is doing s- important business with Lin and Raiko basically, and so he doesn't get to spend time with Meelo.

And then Meelo's like, "Man, this stinks." And then Bumi is like, "Man, that's how I felt 'cause Dad was off with Tenzin and, you know, everything.

So let's go do a thing together." So they go to, they go to this one island that Aang used to go to to meditate or whatever.

Probably a lot of the things you're looking for in analysis, looking back on book two.

But in this part two podcast, we are going to be getting into Kaya Tenzin and Bumi, the Dark Avatar, a lot of Seven Haven speculation, which was really interesting.

And then some fandom stuff at the end, including the Makora Frogs.

So that is very fun.

And this is something I clearly remembered, right, is cloud babies.

Like I said, last last topic, it was that was our term for Tenzin.

Kaya and Bumi, and them struggling with what we call it is like Aang is a bad father, like their presentation of Aang being a bad father, which rewatching it back just to throw it out there at the start, I do think what clearly what they're trying to do is less portray Aang in any sort of particular way as a father, more just get into the positives and negatives of what the realities would be like of the children of Aang and Katara and them like trying to get into their world experience.

They're like their, their, their life experiences.

It's like they kept her confined to just trained and she didn't get to experience the world.

Even before Aang froze himself, he was outside, right? That's why he knows Bumi.

That's why he was outside.

He was a worldly man, a child.

Bumi.

Bumi's a great character.

Oh, yeah.

really front loaded but um yeah

like you know, the impact of Bumi getting airbending too is like, you know, that's only happening because of what we have, the weird little mini arc we have with him and Kaya and Tenzin going on their like field trip and, you know, airing their grievances and that sort of thing.

So, you know, I think there is some like credit there that like, you know, I don't know, you know, the, you know, over 15 months, like what was going on with what, but I think they were doing a lot of future proofing, um, in this, the early parts of this season, um, to establish things that like not necessarily paid off later, but things in season three and four were so much stronger for it.
