And then you've also got more hard edged proto metal songs with that gothic edge, which they'd sort of explore a bit more on the next couple of albums.

It's got an amazing scope and they pull it off so well.

There's only probably two or three songs out of the 28 that I've never really warmed to.

The first six songs in particular are all absolute killer for me.

The big orchestral opening of the title track going straight into Tonight Tonight, which for me is kind of building on some of the more introspective moments from Siamese Dream, but adding another layer of grandeur on top of it.

Then from there, you get four really heavy rock songs with Jelly Belly, Zero, Here Is No Why and Bullet With Butterfly Wings.

It just keeps pummeling you, but in the best kind of possible way.

Yeah.

like Words or Bullet with Butterfly Wings, for example.

That's not in the song.

Yeah, it's brave.

Said, basically, I've seen better high school games than this game.

And then, of course, the Smashing Pumpkins, Rat in the Cage, Bullet with Butterfly Wings.

I'm a huge Pumpkins fan, Billy Corgan fan, by the way.

In the end, that pressure-filled, sloppy Mike McDonald comparison to a high school-like game ends in a 9-9 tie.

Let's do some rapid-fire notes as well that I'm frantically scribbling as I watch this episode.

Partly because of all the sound In it, I mentioned Bullet with Butterfly Wings earlier.

There's that cool montage in the opening minutes with boats and an eagle and Gatorade buckets and a shuffleboard and sprinklers and the lines being painted robotically.

I love it to this day.

So I'm gonna go to Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, and it's gonna be Bullet With Butterfly Wings.
