Bugs Bunny

That's very unfortunate.

Before we give our ratings and reviews, Joe Alasky did the voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Beaky Buzzard, Sylvester, and Harrietta Bear.

Because I was thinking, because now the voice of basically every single Looney Tunes character is Eric Bauza.

And so I was wondering, when did Eric come into the picture? And it seems that Joe died in 2016.

Eric has been a voice actor for quite a while and has been doing quite a lot of things, but it wasn't until the Looney Tunes cartoons, which was the HBO Max series, that he really started to take over as basically every character ever.

For example, in Coyote vs. Acme, he just did it all.

He was Bugs Bunny, Charlie Dog, Daffy Duck, Peter Lorre, Foghorn Leghorn, Gossamer, Pepe Le Pew, Porky Pig, Roadrunner, Senator Elmer Fudd, and Tweety.

So he's...

But another thing we remember, Tom, is that we were alive in the 80s.

when all of a sudden cartoons stopped being the Flintstones and the Jetsons and, you know, Looney Tunes and Bugs Bunny and all this kind of shit.

And people copped on to the fact that, hey, you know what? If children are watching cartoons, we can just make toys of everything.

Yeah.

He's got 20 years in the industry, officially taking over from the immortal Mel Blanc.

So he's kept alive the great iconic voices, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky, Pig.

Possibly I need to get out more often, but you've got the voices.

You've got it nailed.

And thank heavens for that because I grew up off the back of all of the Looney Tunes, Bugs Bunny, one of my great inspirations, Daffy Duck, not so much.

But let's face it, I even heard the great Glenn Frey do Elmer Fudd sings the Eagles in a rehearsal once.

And the snowmobile crashes.

And it's very Bugs Bunny.

Like only her feet are sticking up out of the snow with like full cowboy boots on.

She goes, ow, I broke my hind.

I've never heard it.

I've never heard any of Jay-Z's reference tracks, including the one that he did for Bugs Bunny.

None of his reference tracks have leaked that I've known.

But apparently, he did the whole song and then did a reference track in their voices.

Jay-Z has said that when he was writing for others, he tried to write as whoever it was.

He is envisioning the person in what they would say.

Um, and that's what made it easy for him to write all of these songs, including the fucking song he wrote for Bugs Bunny.

Like, you know what I mean? Like he wrote a, he wrote a song for Bugs Bunny that was in his own space jam soundtrack.

musical on broadway is different because now he's been able to like source newer songs so you go and watch the musical and there's like lady gaga songs oh interesting stuff and uh and yeah and the roles are kind of like the same main two two characters are still there uh but like uh in this you have the duke uh who's like the villain i guess you could say who plays the duke Richard Roxburgh, an Australian actor who's just incredible in this.

But in the Broadway musical, the Duke has like a way, way bigger role.

So it's like, I was like, oh shit, like this is really cool.

he had like a broom as part of his little oh that's smart

Yeah, I don't know who are interesting but underserved Warner Bros. characters.

Who do you want to

There's probably not a Looney Tunes character that isn't, if they don't appear, they are mentioned somehow or they're a background character with a gag to their name.

And, of course, the big names, Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny, do make an appearance and fairly important to the plot as well.
