For 90 minutes, they sonically dazzled the audience with an ear-dropping set as they were promoting their smash hit album, Superstition.

Everyone seemed to be stargazing at Budgie or Susie Sue.

But my eyes seemed fixated on a tall, slender guitarist who was shredding up on stage.

His name, John Klein.

And he says this.

Working with Suzy and the Banshees taught me a lot about discipline and atmosphere in music.

Okay, so as we trudged down this road, memory lane with Suzy and the Banshees, working with Suzy, Stephen, Budgie, what did it teach you? What are some gifts from those days that you acquired?

And Juju is arguably the best of the lot.

So it came out, it was on Polydor, and it came out at the time that Suzy and Budgie had started to flirt with a splinter group called The Creatures, which was just the drummer, Budgie, and Suzy.

And that was one of the biggest disappointments in music for me, I think, ever, the tantalizing concept of just Suzy singing and Budgie drumming.

I thought, this is going to be powerful, powerful stuff.

And it really, really wasn't.
