Uh, a similar situation where we're seeing these taller individuals and the way they can move, and whether that is for musical or for comedy purposes, either way it's very entertaining.

I'm, I'm really enjoying that aspect, but the main thing that ties us back isn't just the comedy of it, it is very good, but it's also how much do you wanna see William Powell and Myrna Loy make it work?

So while they were shooting, the actor was forced to eat his lunch from a straw every day.

The craziest costume story from The Wizard of Oz was what happened to the song and dance man, Buddy Ebsen, who was originally cast in the role of the Tin Man.

Now, this story is one of the most talked about rumors from behind the scenes, so you might already be aware.

But in order for them to achieve that all over 10 man look, costumes enlisted the makeup department to mix clown white paint with ground up aluminum, as in the metal aluminum, so that the makeup would have a shiny effect.

They were calling the hospital phones, demanding that he returned.

And that's as he's trapped in this machine that's essentially keeping him alive.

Buddy Ebsen never made it back to set, but he didn't die, and he was replaced by Jack Haley.

But the new actor, Jack Haley, did a great job as the Tin Man, and unfortunately, Buddy Ebsen had symptoms that possibly derived from that one moment for the rest of his life.

Bolger's Scarecrow was all flailing charm and bouncy empty-headedness.

Freed and LeRoy initially saw Ray Bolger, a Broadway star known for his elastic dance style, as the Tin Man and six-foot-three-inch dancer Buddy Ebsen as the Scarecrow.

Bolger protested he had always wanted to play the Scarecrow, and the roles were switched.

Ebsen became the Tin Man until he was poisoned by his aluminium-based make-up.
