Buck O'Neil Bridge

One of my characters is Octave Chanute, who designed and built the first railroad bridge over the Missouri River, the Hannibal Bridge.

Right by the Buck O'Neill Bridge.

Okay.

So, I mean, you could throw a rock and hit that old rusty bridge, train bridge.

I'll tell you what, he made Kansas City because Leavenworth and St. Joe.

They wanted the bridge because whoever got the bridge, that was going to be the link over the Missouri River.

And geography argued for Kansas City because if people know where the Buck O'Neill Bridge is, the Broadway Bridge, the Hannibal is just to the east.

Like I said, you throw a rock and hit it.
