So trying to, like, they come out on something different than we were ready for and then having to communicate that back and forth.

But it takes a special skill.

remember running out to practice, and he would be there.

He'd have his little whistle that he'd be twirling around on his finger, welcoming the players onto the practice field, and he would say things like, Hey,

Baloo, you throw that dig route high again today, and you're going to get your wide receiver killed.

And I think, okay, here we go.
