Bub City

[laughs] Retro is in.

Well, Bub City is one that we brought back.

Yeah.

Well, so Bub City was a place that was open for, I don't know, seven or eight years during our childhood, and we all had really fond memories of it.

And so when we started working on a country bar, we said like, "We should make it Bub City." And maybe the lesson that I learned from that was that that triggered a whole other level of, like, control from our dad.

Yeah, so, uh, Lettuce Entertain You, uh, w- th- was the brainchild around that.

Not me personally, but we, my partner Chris Meurs, Callie Ravel, RJ and Jared Melman, um, the team at Bub City.

It started out as we wanna do a barbecue festival because we think Chicago needs, needed one, right? Like, um, and it kinda started out that way.

And then we found a partner, Ed Warm, who, if you know Joe's on Weed Street or Carol's Pub, he booked all those acts, and Ed became a partner too.

I mean, y'all got a week to plan.

We, we could be a BUB City with it.

I do miss BUB City.

We could be credential with it.

We could ask Braden Frager what his favorite fragrance is.

Yeah, they had like Billy Goat was out there in Bub City, and then they had different neighborhoods of Chicago.

There was like four different neighborhoods or geographical areas of the city that represented like food areas.

cute tense yeah so it was kind of cool um you know with the whole welcome to chicago thing and it's like hey you're not you're not chicago let's you know pump the brakes on it you're in bloomingdale or wherever or wherever wherever it was where is

Uh, there's a, there's an area called The Loop over off of kind of one and 18 over on the east side of the property.
