We know that they were part of the wave of layoffs and different studios that were being let go.

And certain teams like Double Fine, the creators of Brutal Legend, they've managed to find funding.

They're doing kickstarting.

They're continuing a life outside of Xbox.

What the hell could this game be, was basically the discussion.

The other detractors were like, well, Microsoft's stopping them from making Brutal Legend 2. just make brutal legend 2 that's what you're known for and they're like no we want to make a little claymation game made out of my anus's juice and it's like all right okay fucking great and then phil spencer is at fault here because he didn't step in and this is the problem the more and more we hear about it is because phil spencer was too close to these two he was too kumbaya he knew them on a human level and he was too scared to be a step into the leadership role and that's why he gave them autonomy to build all this shit and now as soon as they get let go they're like Hey, give us $100 million in Kickstarter and then we'll make Brutal Legend.

Am I happy that they're still around? Yes.

Would I like to see a Brutal Legends 2 from them or Psychonauts 3? Absolutely.

Does it suck that they didn't do that with Xbox? Yeah.

Um... who do you blame for that? Do you blame Phil and Matt for fostering an atmosphere of just make what you want guys.

I always thought he was a really cool, funny guy.

I just don't like a lot of the games he makes.

Like Psychonauts 2 is one of my favorite games ever, and I love Brutal Legends, but I tried all the other stuff, and they're not for me.

So he doesn't make, like, my type of game.
