But, um, today is Father's Day.

Happy Father's Day, those of you that are dads out there, or spiritual dads, uh, or uncles in any way.

Maybe some of you looking around, no, but, no, that's not the case, are pas as well, as, as my story as well.

But in acknowledging this day as we celebrate, we also recognize that it, it, it is complex, isn't it? For some of us, this day is real joy.

We wanna mark and wanna celebrate those fathers in our life.

Well, friends, have you ever had one of those moments? The service this morning has been one of those moments.

For me, the story about Crossroads and welcoming the new pastor of Crossroads Ministries takes me back to many, many, many years ago, I grew up in a family where my older sister had a significant intellectual disability.

And I remember at every life stage of her development, as part of the family, there was this heart cry that said, well, what about me? Because there was nothing, there was nothing for her.

We'd go off to kids club or a youth group or to Sunday school, And there was nothing for my sister Joanne.

When we graduated from school and went off to work and to uni and all those things, Joanne's story was there was nothing for her.

But come Holy Spirit, come.

Therefore, to this day, the Israelites do not eat the tendon attached to the socket of the hip, because the socket of Jacob's hip was touched near the tendon.

This is the word of the Lord.
