But Brown Brothers is pretty good.

And then sparkling, I always say Yarra Valley and Tasmania.

Let's support those two areas that are making super premium, uh, Australian sparkling.

The Pizzini family followed a nearly identical path, also transitioning from tobacco into wine, and today the Valley's Italian heritage producers are its calling card.

Alongside the Brown Brothers, the Valley's biggest and best-known name, who've championed alternative varieties from the region since the 1950s.

Yeah, and we'll have to talk to Stephanie a little bit more about that nomenclature.

But there are 1,500 hectares now planted mostly to Prosecco, which, as you mentioned, is now technically called Galera, plus Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and increasingly Sangiovese and Nebbiolo, so other Italian varieties, thriving on warm valley days and these cool alpine nights.

So there's that adaptability of the mindset that's been really important.

there that's allowed some of that innovation to occur.

And even though we talk about the small wine growers, we do have some large, you know, family businesses that have been operating for multi-generations in Victoria, say like the Brown Brothers family to Bilk and another one to Borderly.

And I think all three of those are really interesting too because, again, they're still family owned and run.
