Brother Dusk

The middle-aged one is Day, who is kind of the current monarch, always played by Lee Pace.

And then the oldest is known as Brother Dusk, who is like the older retired emperor who kind of serves as like an advisor to the current emperor.

Also a handsome gentleman.

Also a handsome gentleman.

Good old Terrence Mann.

And Terrence Mann always plays Brother Dusk and also Brother Darkness.

But we'll get to Brother Darkness.

Dave, don't be spoiling.

That is the core of psychohistory.

But then the show introduces three clones of the original emperor, Brother Dawn, Brother Day, and Brother Dusk, all ruling simultaneously at different ages.

With Lee Pace playing the middle clone, Brother Day.

Right.

Exactly.

They are named Brother Dawn, the young learner, Brother Day, the ruling emperor in his prime, and Brother Dusk, the aging advisor.

I want you to just sit with the profound psychology of that concept for a second.

Imagine sitting at a dinner table.
