Bromont

A lot of them were training out in the eastern townships.

I know a lot of them were staying out near Bromont and Sutton.

But yesterday was really cool because there wasn't actually a race on.

It was an opportunity for the pros to do a recon of the course.

Yeah, yeah.

I was second, like, one second back or something.

So me and this local kid named Andy Hudon, who had won the past year as well, he's really fast on his local trails in Bromont there.

I think he lives five minutes from the mountain.

We were really tight, and then the second stage, I ended up smoking my tire on a pretty sharp rock, and I think I lost...

Do you know where they've been in the past?

Yeah.

So it's been Bromont.

[laughs] I was in the car with Elliot when he got lost going to Burlington, Vermont.

We ended up in Bromont.

I got two tickets.

Had lunch in Bromont.

Two speeding tickets.

[laughs]

That is all these summit ski areas around Quebec.

It has Bromont, one of the great eastern township ski areas.

So that's Snow Triple Play.

Snow Triple Play does not have anything in the West.

Um, you know, I was at the barn six days a week and, um, had really big goals and, uh, wanted to, you know, go to young riders and my horses, um, soundness didn't allow that to happen, but we kind of bounced back the following year when I was a freshman in college and, you know, was juggling both, uh, big competitive aspirations and being a new college student.

We did get to complete a one star at Bromont, which I guess now is a two star.

It's all very confusing to me since I'm not in that world anymore.

And I think both for me and my off the track thoroughbred rush, I think we had both reached our competitive ceilings.
