yeah you have the inventory and the inventory is live you don't pause to access your inventory it continues whilst you're playing which can be a bit of a prick later on especially in the second game but you basically you collect stuff and then it's pretty much it's very much a lot of the puzzles are lock and key with the key not always being a key and the lock not always being a lock you take one thing to another thing put them together and hey presto a door opens yeah
