Brody Malone

He hasn't handed the ball to a James Jones or TJ Washington.

You know, he hasn't had a Brody Malone and AJ Williams around him.

So I think putting some, you know, really dynamic pieces around him, you're really going to see his capability and abilities, you know, go through.

So he'll get challenged week one.

For your returning guys, how important are they going into this season with so many changes across the roster?

Yeah, you know, it's like, and like you brought it up, like we returned more guys on defense than we did offense, but we needed to make some changes, right? I mean, again, you bring guys like Mateo Rodriguez back and, you know, he's been a real steady Eddie in the room, you know, TK King, you know, Brody Malone, you know, Jerry Lydia, but a lot of other, there's a lot of new faces in that offensive room, right? um Dijon Stanley coming on back so those are all impactful guys are gonna have a great season for us right but we recognize you when you look at last year and you look at the frustration of it right you know so you know you win four games you lose four games on the last play of the game and we weren't that far off and honestly we weren't that talented up for I mean we just you know god bless those guys you know but there were some areas we really struggled at right you know I mean the New Mexico game is a four-point game in the fourth quarter I mean it's you know so you're right there in a lot of these ballgames, our inability to run the football and dictate the pace of the game really hurt us last year.

When we needed those hard yards, when you got to get in that four-minute offense with the lead at Liberty, we weren't able to do it.

So my guess is he's maybe playing it a little safe and maybe reworking the McCoolick element.

We also saw this from Brody Malone in 2022 Worlds.

I think in qualification, maybe he didn't get credit for the McCoolick opener.

So they're really, really picky about that skill.
