It's a very American genre.

Um, you know, bands like Suffocation, Brodequin, Devourment, um, those are all, you know, American acts and, uh, the genre is still very much populated with, uh, largely American, uh, folks.

So I thought it'd be fun to highlight kind of the sounds and, um, sights and sounds of the kind of more European side of it.

So Despondency really, uh, an iconic band in that respect for me at least.
