And then I'd like to see our passing game start to get going.

I'd say Michigan did a great job kind of stifling our passing game, and I'm looking for... a little more protection of Brock Lowry.

He was the Mac offensive player of the year last year.

I'd like to see him aired out of it today, but candidly, I've never coached a football game in my life.

I would expect more of that on Saturday.

And we just saw Western quarterback Brock Lowry just chip away at Michigan's defense.

Well, what about Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer? He's a lot better than Brock Lowry.

He did whatever he wanted last year against Michigan, and that came in the air or on the ground.

We've got proof.

And, you know, they've put their head down, they've turned the page, and they've been in game prep mode.

And they would have done that win or loss, right? we were about to celebrate we had you know and that changed in it and he would have been the same person this week preparing for Monmouth win or lose and so it's a testament to him and the way he's built his program and the culture that was built in that building and the players have believed in him and have believed in that culture I mean look at how many we You know, Brock Lowry, Jalen Buckley, plenty of guys in that locker room could have gone somewhere else last year and had, you know, maybe made more rev share money.

But they believe in what we're building here and they believe in Western Michigan and they believe in Coach Taylor and they want to come back and run it back.

And that's what they're they're doing.

Defensively, too, like, Mateer is going to do some things at the defensive line.

If you're struggling against Western Michigan, like, Mateer is a class up from a guy, you know, like Lowry, who's a good quarterback and, you know, a winner and probably going to lead Western to some pretty good things this year, did last year.

is kind of, like, I think Mateer is kind of like the four-star version of Brock Lowry.

Who's the big player that came out of Western? Wasn't there like a couple?

Brock Lowry, the greatest quarterback in the NCAA today.

I expect him to run a lot.

And they had trouble stopping Brock Lowry.

And so I just think, I mean, Oklahoma is a better team than Western was on both sides of the ball.

It doesn't only work like that.

It was like second quarter.

He's like, "I'm going Western Michigan." I said, "That's fine." I said, "Michigan's quarterback's horrible." And I said, "Straight up 1,000%, no exaggeration, if I had the pick, Brock Lowry from Western Michigan or Bryce Underwood for one game, no hesitations, Brock Lowry." I mean, zero hesitation.
