That's me, Kyle Meredith, today catching up with Peaches.

It's been about a decade since she's released new music, but she's back with No Lube, So Rude.

They had that breakout song, Hold On, they performed it for us.

That was a great episode in terms of just catching a band before everybody else sort of caught up with them, realizing there's something pretty special about this group, especially Brittany Howard, the lead voice in the band, the primary songwriter, the rhythm guitarist.

She formed the band in 2010 with guitarist Heath Fogg and bassist Zach Cockrell, and they remain the core of that band out of Athens, Alabama.

They made two albums as Alabama Shakes, Boys and Girls in 2012, Sound and Color in 2015, which won four Grammy Awards, went to number one on the Billboard charts.

It gives you some balance.

She is a great singer.

Brittany Howard is a terrific singer.

Brittany Howard is only 37 years old.

It's wild because I can't really imagine a time before Alabama Shakes.

That's her band, the five-time Grammy-winning band, of which she is the lead singer and guitarist.
