British royal family

Hi everybody, the Complex PTSD Guy here.

I wanted to add on just a little bit to an episode, actually the last two episodes I did, because I wanted to make sure I made it clear that I am aware that the Royal Family over in the UK, they have done a lot of work with mental health.

And so in the last episode I did, I was pointing out would say things that maybe i found issue with regarding the new sports related toolkit that prince william and the royal foundation was supporting um i just had a problem with kind of how much information it was but it really is that's what a toolkit is right but in in the world of you know mental health and trying to help somebody I mean, if you have 72 pages of information, I just don't know how you're going to flip through that in a real life situation, but it's there if you need it.

And I kept thinking about it and I thought it's almost like a phone book.

So it's kind of nice.

It is nice to have everything there relating to that subject matter.

But I wanted to point out because I know I've mentioned it years ago on this podcast, but the Royal Family actually has done a lot with mental health awareness.

And particularly, I know Catherine, the Princess of Wales, she's done a lot in particular.

I'll actually give you an exclusive here.

We actually travel separately, like the British Royal Family, in case one of us dies.

Too dangerous.

And because of that, she really loved Queen Elizabeth.

She really loved the royal family.

And she, growing up, I guess, would talk about them quite a bit, from what I understand, and had such incredible relationships.

He seems like, you know, the Edward, because Ingrid, the Edward that, you know, I have in my mind was someone who was quite serious.

You know, there was a lot going on in the royal family.

But he was the one that, you know, was breaking boundaries a little bit.

He left the Marines and then he became part of the Andrew Lloyd Webber really useful group.

And it was the Mirror that started this story.

And way back in about 1990.

But before that, people were very cautious about what they said about the Royal Family.

And they certainly would never have questioned their sexuality.

i can't even guarantee your safety like

it's irrelevant it's a compressed time timeline for the purposes of a show like whether he gave them a week or a day it was that

But It's a lot of policies of a lot of countries to like, they just don't do it because they're like, well, then everyone's going to come out of the woodwork and take hostages and make a business out of it.

So that's where you do the ant colony thing where it's like, you know our policy is we don't negotiate so therefore if you get if you're gonna get kidnapped and ransomed sorry but like it's really well and i and it's like one british and even if they're a high ranking like if they're the heiress or whatever to the crown like sorry if it was a rando we have to well and that was a rando what we do it for a rando no so i think that you know

i think that if i was british i would i would and i'm not so i if I was from the UK, I would probably see an extra layer here of what it's saying about the Royal family and the status of the Royal family and the celebrity of the Royal family, because really at the end of the day, who fucking cares,

right?

You're a celebrity hair and makeup artist.

And you own the only salon in Sandbanks where you did the Royal Family.

I mean, there's quite a lot of strings to your bow.

yeah do you know what you get to an age where suddenly what you've done you look back on it and you think wow I can't believe all that happened because none of it was by judgment none of it was like you know a strategy or all these words that everybody uses these days it was literally just the development of the business as things went on yeah but that's all true yeah

Who would you find it hardest to believe has genuinely changed society?

In the royal family?

Anywhere.

If we were thinking about someone who's done something wrong and back to your original observation that there are plenty of people in the sector who are working on rehabilitation and forgiveness and giving people second chances.
