British & Irish Lions Women

Just don't think about it.

Right, Lions on the horizon.

There will be a permanent discussion during the Six Nations.

I want from all of you a lock-in for Wales and a potential bolter.

Yeah.

I mean, obviously, you give me a question, I go deep dive.

So I've literally done a whole Lions tour.

I've put it to every position.

We've looked at what's important for now, what's important for this week and for this next camp or for this next series.

And then with an eye on Lions, that's probably the next pinnacle event we've got next year.

So who do we sort of see in those spaces and how quickly can we grow someone into that and what might those make-ups be? But then also thinking beyond that to 2029 and knowing there'll be some evolutions again before then and we'll keep adapting what that long-term plan is.

But you can't afford not to really.

We'll get onto Tiger's Women stuff in a minute, I promise.

I just want to also just quickly chat Lions, because there's been some exciting stuff with the British and Irish women's Lions.

They've confirmed a fixture against France at the Principality Stadium on the Friday 27th of August.

I'm going to be there.

Producer Shara made the point that they haven't toured since 2024.

You know, the whole world came to England last year for the Rugby World Cup and the art of the tour being something that is quite topical ahead of the inaugural Harden Lions Women's Series 2027.

How hard is it to win on tour? Especially, especially in front of that crowd.

In Toronto, that crowd was, that was insane levels of intensity.

And as we saw on this weekend, the home teams, once the shoe's on the other foot, they have been able to make it work for them.

So that's quite exciting.

On the topic of home fixtures, Lions women's pre-tour fixture has been announced.

If you live under a rock, you better be ready to head to Cardiff just before they head out on tour in late August, 2027, because France are coming to town.

[laughs]

Uh, uh, finally, put you the awkward one for you, Alex, because I remember your old mucker Alun Wyn Jones would get very tense in Lions year, wouldn't he?

Yeah.

[laughs]

When he was asked, he would do anything not to answer the question.

Yeah.

The exciting thing about the Lions though is that you will be asked about it.

You know-
