I suppose it probably wouldn't work out, but I was going to say if there was anybody who had played on the Rampage and on the Lightning, I'd be keen to hear from them.

But they probably wouldn't be able to say too much if they're still playing on the Lightning.

Eventually, after we've had a listen and had a few interviews with the Rampage guys, maybe we need to try and find some Lightning people from that fucking inaugural Lightning team.

and have a bit of a, I know a goalie who played for the Lightning's first inaugural season, my buddy Cam.

He's a fucking absolute legend, and he played for the Lightning in the inaugural season.

So there's an option there, but I guess I don't know if that's probably a bit too big for us now, seeing as they're the big boys in Brisbane.

And, and so, you know, after, after, you know, those sort of things happened, obviously it, it kind of became a little bit too, too difficult to, to manage the, the, the slots and the, the, the politics around it? Or was it, was there other factors that kind of involved...? 'Cause I, I, I remember there was, there was talk of some level of amalgamation potentially between the Rampage and the Lightning.

I don't know if that was just all talk as well or.

Obviously, you know, my own personal bias would love, love for that to be the Rampage, but I guess it never eventuated.

You know, when, when we knew that the PHL weren't going to proceed for the second year, we did reach out to AI and said, "Hey, like, what are our chances now?" Like, "Is...

Are we sort of okay? Can we potentially put a bid in?" Like, "What's your thoughts?" And obviously as they said no, because they had the Lightning now, but there was no real talks of sort of merging.

You know, you, I guess in, in all the thick of it, you just don't want the players to be affected.

I think both Lightning and Rhinos, obviously you want to end your last home game with a win.

That's the ideal.

yeah yeah wow like yeah and that's the thing is in then you still had to wait and see how how it turned out on sunday and yeah they pushed hard they faced those plus you know season ending injuries for for a couple of the ice dogs and but it just shows that they can do it and they're not done yet

It was really interesting two games because I thought that they were very stereotypical of the Brisbane Lightning this season, being very up and down in the one game.

Like they go through periods where they look completely switched off, conceding lots of goals.
