Bring It On: The Musical

And tell us your story of what happened to you when you got this amazing job.

Yeah, so my wife and I moved to New York in 2012 and I fell in with the team that were kind of putting Hamilton together from a writing, producing perspective about two years later in 2014 on a show called Bring It On.

Lin-Manuel wrote the lyrics.

Alex Lacamoire, who was the original music director of Hamilton, did all the arrangements, the music guy.

And I'm sure I'll get flack for this.

I have said, long before I had a child, I was like, I don't have a kid, I have Mean Girls, and I have Bring It On the Musical, and I have, because developing characters and building a musical, even if you're not developing the character, being in a long-running commercial show, is very much akin to having a child it takes all of your energy it is exhausting it uh it takes a lot more than it gives sometimes which kids do that it's all of those things right and it's and you're so proud of it and you're so passionate about it and you love it no matter what it does to you and what it does to your body what it does to

your soul

um And so I always felt like my career kind of was my child.

And it came down to me and Taylor Louderman.

And I knew Taylor and I had

done Bring It On

together.
