Because there are murmurs between each class on each night because one of the nights at Brimham I stayed on site and every class seemed to have their own political-ness going on.

Okay.

I just went and I sat, had a bit of tea and just listened to the paddock for the evening.

Puppets, there's nothing that can do deadpan quite like a sock, you know.

And they were great because we basically went back to this extraordinary place called Brimham Rocks, which is near Ripon in Yorkshire.

And for four summers... we filmed these episodes.

And it basically became a challenge between me and the director, this director called Julian Kemp, who won three BAFTAs by this stage in his life, but was a mad cinephile and a big fan of Preston Sturgis and all those early fast-talking comedy movies.
