Brigitte Nielsen

Mm.

Played by, uh, Brigitte Nielsen, who was with Stallone at this point.

Yes, the one film they made when they were married together.

But-

Yeah, hates it, and hates that ...

Well, to be fair, I was like, "Oh, come on.

What are you on about with, uh, Brigitte Nielsen and her ketchup on her chips?" But then she keeps going.

She keeps adding-

"A tale of a woman and a warrior that became a legend." The sword and sorcery classic, Red Sonja, comes to 4K UHD and Blu-ray.

A revenge-driven fantasy based on the fearless Marvel comic book character with Brigitte Nielsen as the titular heroine alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The peaceful life of Sonja is shattered when her parents are murdered by Queen Gedren, who ruled by terror and carries a talisman which she can annihilate the planet.

Sonja sets out to avenge her parents' death and is granted extraordinary powers by a mysterious vision.

I saw this film in the, I believe in the late '80s or mid to late '80s on television.

And, well, what sold me was Brigitte Nielsen's beauty in the, on the, when I saw the ad for it.

When I, when I saw the commercial for it, and, well, I believe it was on Channel 9 a, uh, one of the days, I think Friday night at 8:30 PM.

You can't make this up.

He is protecting a model played by Brigitte Nielsen who has a target on her back, but the villain isn't a quiet professional hit man.

The villain is a deranged, ax-clinking serial killer known as the Night Slasher, played with absolute maniacal intensity by Brian Thompson.

He is terrifying in that movie.

Just, a- the, her manager's past clients are everyone that was on S- the, The Surreal Life.

Brigitte Nielsen, Flavor Flav, you know.

The third contestant to get kicked off of Rock of Love.

I mean, these are who, probably who her manager is currently taking on.

But not just any witches of Salem.

No, these were Brigitte Nielsen's Witches of Salem, as the Danish supermodel and actress was not only the spokesperson, but lent her name to the service.

Still, Nielsen never claimed to be psychic herself, which makes sense.

After all, someone with psychic abilities would probably be able to foresee that their original film debut was destined to fail, despite being a spinoff of a popular successful series and co-starring that series' star.

Yeah, yeah.

I was- you, you went for the easy.

You don't want to try a Brigitte Nielsen, uh, impression instead?

Uh, I, I had-

So where I think we went awry as a culture, personally, is when those tabloids started promoting celebrity mother births in their 40s and 50s.

Like, Brigitte Nielsen has a baby in her 50s.

Janet Jackson has a baby in her 50s.

But this goes back earlier.

Yeah.

My fertility doctor told me that a woman can, a uterus can hold a baby at least until 50, and then depending on the health of the uterus and the woman, even further, farther, whatever it is, along.

He used the example of Brigitte Nielsen, who was, like, an athlete of, like, top tier.

Mm-hmm.
