I'm so happy in the MCU he has the natural ones, 'cause it's like it's such a lazy plot device of like how do we get Hal in this situation? Well, he only has a bit left.
Travis SnellHOST
18:31
It's like and- Don't get me wrong, I know that he left John and he got up there right away, but if he thinks there's gonna be a full attack, to me, I don't know how long it takes, but from what we saw in the episodes so far, him saying, you know, you know, "In Brightest Day, in Blackest Night," it seemed like it charged the ring pretty quick, right? So to me-
Taylor FieldHOST
18:48
Oh, yeah
Travis SnellHOST
18:49
...
WaynePANELIST
61:37
But it was better.
WaynePANELIST
61:40
lanterns in brightest day i thought it was amazing something about lanterns have you heard some of the youtubers going in brightest day and darkest night no no no i watched the whole thing
MitchPANELIST
61:52
about the green lantern oath and they talked about that they said at one point i gotta be honest with you when i was a kid i thought it was darkest night too because it didn't make sense but they said oh at one point they did change it that and then it went back to the blackest night yeah but But if you go through,
WaynePANELIST
62:08
if you go through the words, it makes more sense with brightest day, blackest night, because when you're going through the rhythm of it and looking how it was structured, it was perfect the way it is.
WaynePANELIST
62:20
Correct.
WaynePANELIST
62:20
As opposed to the green, the golden age lantern.
WaynePANELIST
62:31
Yeah, but I've seen that.
WaynePANELIST
62:35
I was doing something, and I was listening to the YouTube because it's easy just to listen to that crap while you're doing something else.
Bernie GerstmayrGUEST
49:30
It's, it's number nine on my list, but that doesn't mean I don't kinda love it more than number nine.
Bernie GerstmayrGUEST
49:37
But that time in comics, I was also super invested in Green Lantern, and the In Brightest Day episode-
Anthony DesiatoHOST
49:46
[laughs] I don't mean to laugh-
Bernie GerstmayrGUEST
49:47
Number nine

Bernie GerstmayrGUEST
69:14
Yeah.
Anthony DesiatoHOST
69:14
So, so far, I'll do a quick recap.
Anthony DesiatoHOST
69:16
Uh, Bernie has cited Warrior Queen, In Brightest Day, My Girl, The Late Mr. Kent, and Brave New Metropolis.
Anthony DesiatoHOST
69:23
And I have highlighted Target, Brave New Metropolis, New Kids in Town, Identity Crisis, and Mxyzptlk.
John RochaHOST
42:19
Hammond has been a part of this whole thing with Green Lantern for a long time.
John RochaHOST
42:22
He was part of the Green Lantern rebirth situation, Green Lantern's secret origin, Brightest Day, The New 52, so Infinite Frontier.
John RochaHOST
42:31
Hector Hammond is a big character in the DC universe.
John RochaHOST
42:35
hammond in his mutated state exhibits genius level intellect as well as potent telepathic and telekinetic abilities including mind reading mind control astral projection levitation projection of harmful sonic blasts moving physical objects with his mind and on occasion displays the ability to absorb and mentally redirect green lantern's energies in some incarnations his body is atrophied to the point where he cannot walk and he has to strap his head to a chair to support his weight so There's a lot here with Hector Hammond.
Peter RiosHOST
5:34
For the volumes thing, I think we all probably...
Peter RiosHOST
5:38
I'm assuming most collectors just do chronologically, right? Your Barry Allen flash volume is in front of your Wally West volume, and then after that is that short-lived Bart Allen flash run, and then whatever came next, right? Like, Barry came back during Brightest Day, and then eventually New 52, etc., etc., etc.
Peter RiosHOST
6:01
I mean, that's usually how I... um stacked or organize my books based on one particular character it gets a little messy right because you know you have green lantern but green lantern core or green lantern emerald warriors again i'll just put them in chronologically as a volume instead of like i i can't do that alphabetically because then the reading order is out of order you know um now where this is really tricky is notating my collection which is not something i talked about in that episode so you know i have a spreadsheet with all my inventory and i personally hate seeing justice league from like you know the 1980s series or any of the you know new 52 series or after new 52 like If it's just Justice League in my inventory, my written inventory, I hate seeing it before Justice League of America Volume 1.
Peter RiosHOST
7:09
But for some reason, that's how it is.
WillHOST
10:00
Look, you see how it's doing this cool little warbling effect? But like when you...
WillHOST
10:05
When you actually, like, say the oath, when you say, in brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight.
WillHOST
10:11
Let those who worship evil's might beware my power.
WillHOST
10:15
Green lantern's light.

31 MINS LATER

WillHOST
41:42
I'm going to point you to Kyle first.
WillHOST
41:44
And then when you're like, no, I want Hal or John or whoever, we can break down like where you should go from there.
WillHOST
41:49
Lanterns Live said in Brightest Day, welcome.
WillHOST
41:52
I guess he's probably just wrapped up over there, gone almost two hours.
AJHOST
18:56
Oh, Blackest Night, sorry.
AJHOST
18:58
Darkest Night, that's the motto, isn't it? Brightest Day and Darkest Night? No, Blackest Night.
AJHOST
19:04
Is it Blackest Night? Brightest
BrockHOST
19:05
Day and Blackest Night.
AngelHOST
31:06
The last two episodes he had on two artists or actually two creators that have been around in the business for a long time.
AngelHOST
31:15
One, Jeff Johns, who worked for DC for a long time, did Green Lanterns, did probably one of the greatest runs of Green Lantern, that Brightest Day, Blackest Night series.
AngelHOST
31:26
Dude, I have it.
AngelHOST
31:27
They mentioned it.
Jason FabokGUEST
7:50
one.
Jason FabokGUEST
7:51
This is a David Finch Brightest Day, I think.
Jason FabokGUEST
7:55
Oh, that's right.
Jason FabokGUEST
7:57
He was doing, oh, wow.
Badr MilliganHOST
7:58
He did
Jason FabokGUEST
7:59
covers for all the Brightest Day stuff.
Jason FabokGUEST
8:01
That would have been around the time when I just got hired at DC because he was at Marvel and then he went to DC.
Jason FabokGUEST
8:08
He was doing covers.
CalebHOST
59:31
right.
CalebHOST
59:31
Well, until then, in brightest day and lostest light.
JimHOST
59:36
