Bridger Bowl Ski Area

It's a, it's essentially a 100 person co-op, and they reinvest every dollar back into it.

Bridger Bowl has a really nice similar model, uh, up in Bozeman, Montana.

So, you know, there's, there's a lot, there's no one right way to run a ski area.

I, I think New York is an extreme example of doing it wrong as far as trying to create a competitive marketplace for the independent operators in the state.

So I would, like, do the USASA Series.

And I remember... competing against Kurt I think it was like at Wyndham or Hunter so like high school days that was my first introduction to Kurt way pre him and Trav doing anything for early films together or everybody doing the exodus from the east coast to Mammoth you know or or to the west coast right so fast forward you know i started working in the industry like through commercials music videos and and um you know kind of working through that like this part of my life is on the back burner kind of like okay you're not going to be doing this for the rest of your life but still loving it and then going like how do you get a paycheck so it's definitely through the arts you know Um, and I ran into a buddy while I was working on a documentary in Bozeman and my buddy, Chris Murphy just happened to run into him at Bridger Bowl.

And he's like, Hey, you know, I'm doing graphics with Kurt and Jared and the guys at Brainform.

And he's like, you should hit up Kurt again because we're working on this film.

So, like, for instance, here in Bozeman, for a number of years, if I'm at the health food store and somebody comes in and they say, hey, I was up skiing and, you know, we have a lot of ski hills here.

We have Big Sky and Bridger Bowl.

And I was up skiing and I hit my head and I think I maybe have a concussion or something.

I would recommend creatine for that.

I think maybe an underutilized component of the lodge would be its location in the winter.

It's almost exactly halfway between Big Sky and halfway between Bridger Bowl, both of which are fantastic ski areas.

I don't know where Big Sky lands right now, but I know in the not too distant past, it had the most vertical drop in at least the contiguous U.S.

Oh, really?

That's one of the best places you could hit.

Yes, and then Bridger is the polar opposite.

Big Sky is kind of like the big international resort, and Bridger Bowl is the same distance, just the other direction, and that's kind of the Ma and Pa local nonprofit ski area.

I mean, it depends what you're looking for, but one of those two places will have the type of terrain you're looking for if you're into skiing or snowboarding.
