Briançon

On that note, I was talking to Taylor Finney on the phone today.

As I was descending into town, I'm staying in Briancon right now, which is the highest city in all of France.

And, of course, he made the Olympic team for the, I don't know what the track discipline that he's doing, pursuit something or other.

But he is currently training for that in the States and Europe.

He quoted to the inhabitants of one district the example of a neighboring district.

In the cantons where they were harsh to the poor, he said, Look at the people of Briancon.

They have conferred on the poor, on widows and orphans, the right to have their meadows mown three days in advance of everyone else.

They rebuild their houses for them gratuitously when they are ruined.
