What does that look like in the US itself?

Yeah.

So I would say digital sovereignty really takes, like, a different flavor in the US.

As I mentioned a bit earlier, it's really around, like, data privacy and cybersecurity.

It really doesn't talk about, like, safeguarding from, you know, other countries because, you know, so, so much of it is happening here, right? It's like a race to grow as quickly as possible at any and all costs, it often feels like, right? But if I were to offer somewhat of an update, like, there was a recent report that came out from New America, and they, uh, pulled together a really nice perspective called ALT, right? And that ALT perspective specifically stands for Adapt, Listen, and the T means Transform.

So what we've been seeing sort of in that sort of framing, right, is a lot of research that they've been doing specifically around what's been going on in state and local government, right? And the critical insight in that report that I really enjoyed was when you reduce friction with AI, when you make it easier to apply for benefits, file a complaint, or let's say request some sort of services, you're not just saving time, you're actually revealing demand.

So the report makes it pretty clear that, like, better technology doesn't really eliminate work.
