So before we get into what you do now, I suppose, tell us a little bit about Brian O'Loughlin and how you got to where you are now.
2:01
Yeah, I suppose, because a big part of the work I do now, I suppose, is...
2:04
And we were talking before the podcast about my work.
2:07
So people may know me from Movement 101.
2:08
I don't know how long ago, but about a decade ago, I... was looking at the Irish fitness industry in a different kind of way.
2:16
So even though before then, injury was kind of my starting point.
2:20
I was 22 years of age, I had shoulder injury for four years I couldn't get rid of.

But when did the shift happen? When did you kind of go, OK, I don't just want to be working with people to improve just their mobility? When did this shift happen?

What about sessions? When would you have started playing sessions?
44:33
Well, I remember my first session actually was, um, we used to play up in Kilfenora on, um...
44:38
I was probably about 11 or 12, I think, when we started doing it during the summers, myself and my brother Keith on the banjo, and Emer Howley from Kilfenora, she was on the fiddle, and Paul Reddan, another guy from Kilfenora as well, he was on the piano.
44:51
So the four of us were all around the same age, probably 10, 11, 12, 13.
44:55
I think there's about a year between us all, I think.
44:56
So we used to play on a Tuesday and a Friday night in Vahan's in Kilfenora pub, and that was, I suppose, my first introduction to playing out in, in pubs.
45:04
Of course, the four of us were going to Padraic Reilly at the same time.

That first flute then, Brian, was a Brendan McMahon flute.
