Hurrah! Yes, they are a British alternative rock band formed in London in 1994, consisting of the lead singer and guitarist Brian Molko, bassist Stephen Ullstall and drummer Steve Hewitt, although the latter did not play on this song or the album.

That was a guy named Robert Schultzberg who left due to creative differences.

Steve Hewitt had played on some early Placebo demos, but he was in another band called Breed at the time.

Yeah, fair enough.

Speaking as somebody who is friends with people at my college who liked Placebo, which we'll go on to talk about...

One of my friends, unfortunately, Brian Molko was once very rude to him at a stage door.

And so one wonders if created differences is having to sit in a van with Brian Molko, which I feel in the early part of Placebo's career might have not been the most calm thing you could ever do.
