But to speak to some of my favorite things in the movie, you mentioned Paul L. Smith, but him and Brian James, the hitmen, are the late, great,

brusque, Tough-looking, funny character actor.

Everybody remembers him from his great moments in Blade Runner.

But you know Brian James from countless things, and he's no longer with us.

He's missed.

And Paul L. Smith, I believe, is also.

Yeah, that must be great.

I was like, "Oh, I'm sure I know that name." But then when you see people on screen, you're like, "Oh, I've seen-"

You sort of know them, but you're expecting, like, a Brian James or somebody like that-

And Brian James, who plays Kehoe, the cop in 48 Hours.

And talk about a guy who had an iconic career playing sort of bad guys, including Blade Runner, right?

Which was released the same year.

He plays one of those Cajun killers out in the swamps.

That's right.

Brian James, when we talk about Another 48 Hours, I'm sorry for people who maybe haven't seen it, but we're giving spoilers in the show because the conceders, you have seen these movies.

But Brian James is a cop in 48 Hours, actually an ally of Nick Nolte's Jack Cates.

In June nineteen seventy-six, the London scene was just getting its first punk pulse.

The Damned formed with vocalist Dave Vanian, guitarist Brian James, drummer Rat Scabies, and a young bassist named Sensible.

Brian James was quick to point out that a good band needs an image that breaks from hippie softness.

Short hair, all black, and he nudged Sensible to trade in the bass for a guitar.

So that's how our lineup really stuck together.

And of course, we started out that set with the legendary Stiv Baderz with It's Cold Outside.

Just a note on Stiv, he went on to co-found the band Lords of the New Church with Brian James of The Damned.

That band had a cameo in the 1988 film Tape Heads.

The whole film is just hysterical.

and Hal, because goodness, she's good looking in this.

I used to love seeing him pop up and stuff.

I really miss him.

That's, you know, it is the horror tool.

So I love this episode.

I think throughout the whole thing really does hinge on the fact that the the like log camp manager's wife has to be hot enough to make the story work and and she is in this so it does land um the whole thing comes together beautifully at the end and it's just it's a fun episode from start to finish and everybody sells it well um what's his name uh uh steve that brian james plays steve right the controlling like
