10:09
Yep
10:09
... for a bad situation.
10:10
It reminds me of another thing.
10:12
Uh, my son plays football.
10:13
He's a freshman.
10:15
And they split up the, the skill guys in, in, uh, one room and the, the linemen, the bigger guys, in the other room, and he's with the bigger guys, and that room is, is, there's a lot of encouragement, a lot of, um, high-fives when they're lifting weights, and there's some noise and there's some energy.
10:32
Um, uh, and he's been very intentional.

24 MINS LATER

34:31
Yeah.
16:24
Yep.
16:24
And they don't let go of any of it, and they w- wonder why they can't grow.
16:28
They wonder why they can't scale.
16:30
They wonder why they're exhausted.
16:31
They wonder why they're tired.
16:32
They wonder why they're stressed.
16:33
They're putting all that here, and they're never training the next group to take on small tasks.

22 MINS LATER

38:50
That's right.
14:36
Can you talk a bit more about what business owners can be thinking about?
14:39
I think that's a great concept because it means focus on the things we can control, which is purely having a clean business.
14:50
So what I mean by that is we have all of our financials up to date and taxes paid and stat accounts filed.
14:57
All our accounts line up properly with our expectations.
15:01
We have supplier contracts detailed and all the expectations are there.
15:05
We know exactly what's going on with the business, but more importantly, we can demonstrate it.
15:10
And if people want, people think, could I do this or not? Well, if you had a buyer call you Friday afternoon, three o'clock and say, Chris, love your business, going to pay all cash for it.
19:58
And how does that play out in practice?
21:28
Come on
21:29
... probably the, the biggest thing.
21:31
And drivers maybe not were, from wherever they came from or whatever the case may be, they're not used to somebody understanding if you call and say, "I have a problem," getting yelled and screamed at.
21:43
But we try to be, if with us, if you call us and say you have a problem, we translate that to the customer, and the customer usually understands when there's a, a problem.
21:55
But people nowadays are, it's just a little bit different than when I first started, but it's like they're scared to call you and say, "Hey, man, I'm not gonna make it for" whatever the reason is.
22:05
You put in a reason there.
22:07
And they don't understand that is huge for us.
25:00
Started it today?
18:47
So, you know, the minister basically saying that in Calgary, maybe playing a little fast and loose with some of the information and that, you know, we need to find a better way to gauge what the opinions are.
18:58
Well, and that's a good point.
19:00
You have to have data to make an informed decision that's going to benefit the most people in your city or your community.
19:09
But I think in Calgary, there's a really interesting case study, if you go online, and the city has that available.
19:15
that's all about the cycle track system in downtown Calgary.
19:20
And there's some really solid numbers there that highlight how bike trips increase substantially as soon as safe and separate bike infrastructure was installed.
19:30
And what's really neat is it's not just the usual suspects that are out there biking like middle-aged dudes in Lycra like me.
22:58
provincial uh management of municipal affairs i i i sense you probably agree with me on that though
4:06

9:50
Yep
9:50
... company, and literally just set up a practice where you direct contract, without any insurance in the middle, with society, whether it's with employer groups and people like the ACC Health Trust or local businesses, and just pay on a monthly membership model.
10:07
And because I get rid of all of the insurance costs, the administrative burden of coding and billing, we've all been in the offices where you look around, and you have all these doors and all these people scurrying around the back.
10:19
None of them have anything to do with providing medical care, and every single one of them-

13 MINS LATER

23:52
Right.
23:52
You know, but it wasn't a problem of us not having, you know, GLP-1 to, to treat them.
23:57
It was, right, a shift in society that now we have this level of obesity, and we're trying to solve it with a Band-Aid of a drug as opposed to getting back to a root cause analysis.
24:09
You know, maybe we really need to empower medicine and, and people to join together to go, "Let's really truly impact your health and your wellness.
