Brian Garrity

This will be the first meeting between these two programs in the Michael Falds era.

The last matchup between Queens and Western was played at Richardson Memorial Stadium as the 2025 season opener, and it was an instant classic with these two teams going into quadruple overtime before Western was eventually able to complete their comeback with a Brian Garrity field goal winning 45-42.

That victory marked the 15th consecutive win for the Mustangs, and that means it has been now 15 years since the Gales last toppled their dynastic adversaries.

The Mustangs will enter this game with a boatload of momentum as they were able to upend the undefeated McMaster Marauders 32-25 in an absolutely ugly slugfest of a game that saw 6 total turnovers and just 57 total points scored.

We did because

my first fight, I fought Brian Garrity.

And I was not like – I did okay.

Our team, we trained with each other, but a lot of people didn't want to train with each other.

And like, I, I was fine with the environment, but it was like, I had to kind of be like a self-start.

I had to kind of be like, get my own stuff going.

And so, but before I fought Brian Garrity, I told BJ and I, I did this for all my fights prior.

So I was always kind of my own head coach, right? Like I was always like, kind of like I had coaches for different things, but I was always kind of like the, the general kind of, you know, come up with game plan and stuff like that.
