I'm your host, Dan Carrigan, and today we are welcoming back a familiar face to VADA Live, and just helping us make sense of what has been happening in what already has been an interesting year for the business.

And I'm joined by Brian Finkelmeyer, who is Senior Director of Enterprise Insights Advisory at Cox Automotive.

Brian, I'm gonna say this at the beginning of every single segment.

You were our very first guest here on VADA Live, and you spend your time during business, after hours, in between, everything, just dissecting the forces shaping the auto market industry, and importantly, helping us break down what they mean for dealers.

So, you know, Carlos Tavares, the former CEO of Stellantis, one time said, "You can protect me with tariffs in America, but I still have to compete with these Chinese in all the other regions in the world." And so I think that is gonna be a big, big challenge for these legacy car companies because they're, the Chinese, uh, automakers are playing with an entire different set of circumstances than what our companies, uh, deal with here.

So I think it's a, it's an unfair playing field, but it's nonetheless a playing field that the automakers are gonna have to contend with.
