How do they handle it so that they say competition is good? How can the Lightning use the competition to make sure that all eight are playing their best whenever they get into the lineup?
9:04
yeah it's good for the coach not good for the players uh the first thing it happened to me you know when i first got to montreal you know we're the team was a star-studded group in the back end and back then you know the the big three uh robinson savard lapointe played it han they had a ton of minutes every night because they played so easily and you know the game was different then So I spent a lot of time out of the lineup.
9:32
And as the season goes on, it's okay for a while, you know, October, November, December, it starts to get to you.
9:40
By the time you get to February, now you're just angry a lot of the time.
9:47
And because if you're the guy that's out of the lineup, I forget how many games I've played, but I practiced a lot.
9:54
And so after morning skate and you're waiting to find out if you're in or out and then it's another, nope, you're not in.
10:04
It wears on you.

and they had three on the power plays, and they had five of them.
9:37
Yeah, so, you know, some good stuff.
9:41
I liked Roteainen.
9:43
There are a couple of those guys you're going to have to watch for a couple of weeks because they're smart players, they're good, they're talented, but there's not, you know, it's not blazing speed or it's not a big one-timer or shot that you're looking at.
9:58
Rotiainen was the best player in the Finnish Liga last year.
10:03
That says a lot.
10:04
And he had a lot of points.
