And so I always have to ask when I talk to people who are releasing albums, like what was the impetus of this project? Like why an album and why an album now?

Well, the truth is I never would have done an album had I not been pushed to do it by a good friend of mine, Brian Spector, who I met.

We've been fast friends since meeting.

He came and saw me do Super You and then Mozart at Kearney Hall.

And he just saw something in me.

And we became friends through that.

And he took me to coffee and he said, all right, I want you to do an album.

I want to hear your album.

and robbie sent me a sneak of it a little while ago of a song and i was like oh my goodness it's gorgeous how did this come to be

so i actually i was i will say that sometimes we all just need that one friend who gives us a little artistic push to make us leap and that was that was brian spector for me so brian spector we were just over coffee and he was like I want you to make an album.
