She's president for life, has the, uh, authority to put in the next, uh, president when she resigns, which will obviously be Lee Hanson, her daughter, who's a lovely girl, I might add, and, uh, thereafter, it's up to the executive to, uh, national executive to nominate the, uh, the president after the, uh, one Hanson slots in.

And this constitution, this way of doing things, it's why Brian Burston likes to call One Nation a family business.

She considers, um, Ashby as, uh, one of her sons.

So that's the family.

Getting to the bottom of One Nation's finances was a challenge in more ways than one.

It seemed that everyone I spoke to who had firsthand experience and insight into the One Nation machine, who could tell me what was going on, was also on the other side of some bitter dispute with One Nation or Pauline Hanson or James Ashby, to a T.

Almost every person could easily be dismissed as disgruntled or having some sort of ax to grind, and to be upfront, Brian Burston is among these.

In fact, he's probably the most notable example.
