Um, the, the two things that maybe cap my, captured my attention there was, you know, Brett Norfleet went from questionable to doubtful, and Jeremiah Beasley went from questionable to doubtful.

And, um, you know, I know Norfleet maybe hasn't had the, the receiving stats this year that maybe a lot of us thought he would in this new pass first offense.

Um, but that's still a guy with a lot of experience, um, that has played quite a bit of football this year, and if he can't go, now you're asking Jude James to do a lot.

Do you worry about one aspect that I think, it's easy to kind of hand wave it away and say doesn't really matter.

Do you worry about Brett Norfleet moving from questionable to doubtful-

... probably gonna miss this game? Like I, I liked what I saw out of Jude James when he was on the field last season, the opportunities he got with, with Norfleet injured-

I hope not, but I, I felt like it was worth asking.

Possibly.

I, I, we don't see practice, and so like we don't know whether Jude James or Brett Norfleet, like if there's a stark difference between the pass blocking abilities of both of those tight ends.

So I can only just give the benefit of the doubt and say I would think Jude James is capable, uh, of at least holding things up.

I will say this.

Yesterday, the injury report came out, and it was announced that Brett Norfleet is going to be listed as doubtful going into this game.

Mm-hmm.

I think a lot of people poopoo what Brett Norfleet has been, and I don't think he's necessarily lived up to the expectations or the hype that has surrounded him.

Norfleet's a good player, though, and he's a big-time target once they get into the red zone in particular, and I don't want people to completely write off what he does in the running game.

I know we don't think of tight ends that way necessarily, but...

I, I will say this.

I know we don't think of tight ends that way necessarily, but Mizzou uses a lot of what they call 12 personnel, where it's one running back and two tight ends on the field.

Um, so you know, it, it was a lot more good news than bad news.

Um, but yeah, I think, you know, Brett Norfleet, that's a guy with a lot of experience and, and a lot of production out of the tight end position.

Not so much this year, maybe more last year.

Um, but that's, you know, that, that'll be a tough loss.

That, that means, uh, you know, Jude James is probably gonna have to step up at tight end, and that's a guy that has played some, um, but obviously not a, not as much as, as a fourth-year guy like Brett Norfleet.

And then Jeremiah Beasley I thought has been playing pretty well at linebacker, so him, um, being, uh, downgraded to, I believe doubtful now, um, that, uh, that, that could impact maybe the linebacker depth, especially with, um, you know, Robert Woodyard Jr. having dealing with some small things here and there the last couple weeks.

So, um, you know, I think more optimistic than pessimistic, but still a couple things to keep an eye on.

Offensive tackle, Caden Green.

Tight end, Brett Norfleet.

Defensive tackle, Sterling Webb.
