Dork.

Just Brett Bean came out of nowhere.

Why I chose this book, it's because it's not going to be new in anything as far as storytelling.

It's just this uniqueness.

And then there's things that, you know, where he's struggling with what he doesn't want to let out, along with trying to discover who he is in this adventure that he's going on.

Not because he wants to, but just by happenstance of things that keep happening and pushing him towards his destiny.

um yeah it was one of these things where and it came out at the time where it was like this speculation run where you know people were just buying to buy there were low print runs on it and then they went back to second printing third printing fourth printing it happened with white sky happened with a couple of other ones as well uh nectar i think was another one But yeah, just Brett Bean and the way he told the story and the character that he created, I gravitated towards it and I read it religiously when it comes out.

So that would be my latest one.

But my recommendation is going to be Dork, the new fantasy series from Brett Bean.

And basically what you have, you have a half dwarf, half orc, part berserker, who's carrying a death shield that is imbued with life and a giant eyeball in the middle.

He's cursed by the Bone Queen.

And, and really the only one that came out on top was the one that had the most, I think, talent behind it, which was Dork.

And Brett Bean is perfectly suited to, uh, capitalize.

He's got the talent, he's got the drive and the discipline.

Those three things are not generally found.

He brought it up all the time.

"Uh, you know, I became known for missing deadline." I mean, he, he's so casual and so nonchalant, and that's why I love him, 'cause he's always just gone to the sound of his own drum.

But I think that, like, Brett Bean is, like, ridiculously prolific, and met the moment, got people excited.

He was the book that got everybody like, "Oh my gosh, I got caught with my pants down.

Who's next on the list that interests you?

I'll go with another guy who I think is going to have a line is Brett Bean, who's got some work with Dork and some work with Dungeon Crawler Carl.

And both of those books have been crazy.

I Hate Fairyland is a little more niche book, but it has a real following.

"All right." And then since we're going to Chattanooga and Brett Bean's gonna go there, um, I found the-- This was the only copy they had left of the Brett Bean cover of "Dunder Carl Carl," and I'm gonna get him to sign it.

"Dunder Carl Carl Carl."

There's the two gold foils that I mentioned from Ryan Otley and Annalisa Leone.

Along with that, we've got covers from Brett Bean, Jerome Opina, Cully Hamner, Nick Bradshaw, Tom Whalen, James Stokoe, Ben Steinbeck, and Carmen de Jean Domenico.

So this is going to be a book that I think a lot of people, even if you already have a subsequent or previous, I should say, printing of this, you may want to pick it up just because Those gold foils are pretty cool.

They've done it for Transformers.

Just, I, I don't have any insider information.

Uh, this is not anything that I have heard from Brett Bean.

Uh, I just know the culture, I know the impact, I know how many people were calling me to get his number, uh, to, to talk about making all those things I just told you.

So I imagine all of that stuff, I'm just guessing it's all on a great, uh, path forward.

It takes time to build trust, and certainly again with the Ghost Machine guys and everybody doing their work.

Certainly I've mentioned Brett Bean so many times.

That book just comes out with like, like clockwork.

His contract with you is solid.
