Brenna Hassett

I'm Dr. Brenna Hassett.

I'm Dr. Jim Morris.

And this is The Archaeology of Seaside Animals.

So it must be that they knew the seaweed was enough.

fodder for them.

So they take them to the coast and in the wintertime, what we see is they're looking at teeth, which we talk about teeth a lot, don't we, Brenna? We do.

So the teeth grow and mineralize incrementally and give a record over the time of that being formed.

And if we look at oxygen isotopes, it tells us about the seasonality because you get seasonal changes in water, whether it's colder or warmer.

I'm Dr. Jim Morris.

I'm Dr. Brenna Hasson.

going to reveal our guest first.
