Brendan Eich created JavaScript while working on the Netscape Navigator browser.

Uh, this happened back in '95, I believe.

It, uh, basically gave us scripting on the web.

I mean, just like my own Linux distribution did, right? Zorin OS came along and they said, I wanna put Brave as the default web browser.

Now, Brave is run by the ex-CEO of Mozilla, Brendan Eich, and brendan is is a conservative dude and he's gotten attacked fairly viciously and relentlessly by so many people on the left side of open source that uh when zorin os announced that they were going to be using brave for their default web browser zorin os got attacked for it because oh my gosh you're shipping fascist software oh that's nazi stuff you've got nazi particles at you um and despite that or perhaps because of that zorin os has shot through the roof uh the current release of zorin os just to give you an example in the first three months it was available it got downloaded two million times two million Those are incredible numbers.

Incredible numbers.

Two million times in three months.
