I think Tree Bob Alade's, I know it's two years, if not three years.

So Gunner Gatula, this is going on three years for him now that he seems to be one of the five consistent starters, at least for now, but probably going forward.

Nebraska to the point that Mabenga got moved out.

And so I thought Brendan Black would be the one that would potentially get moved out first, but they haven't gotten, I think, what they've wanted from the interior.

I actually think, whether it's been Gatula or Babalade, and then of course Pritchett on the left side, the tackles have been solid.

It's the interior of the offensive line hasn't been able to move people, and Maryland's Maryland's defensive strategy, at least to stop the run, is to just have some mammoth humans inside there who really didn't do much more than just lean on the Nebraska offensive line, but they couldn't move them out of the way, so it just allowed their linebackers to kind of pick off any inside running game for Nebraska and so um Indiana has a much better defensive line yep and that's going to make it really really difficult in the traditional run game so what then if you know if you go into it thinking it's going to be really hard for any of our running backs to just go have a day without a couple big busts then it's like all right what can we do how much can they give me over here and then how much do I have to ask from Calandria over there And if you can get away doing that.

Yeah, and there was a good comment from someone there that was noticing kind of what you're talking about, where Mubanga wasn't always out there.

Because I do think there was some assumption with Brendan Black on the injury report that sort of maybe they were going to move Gatula in his guard spot.

But you saw Gatula at Mubanga's position some, and then with Tree and uh pritchett is the tackles and so i i think there's a fight for to be like you're gonna obviously need seven or eight guys don't get me wrong but i do think it's an ongoing battle like who's the top five when you're playing like indiana and you're playing oregon who are those guys who they're really going to rely on it's going to be interesting this week to see what they sort of settle on

Yeah, no, I think that's that's going to be one of the big questions going on the week.

And then over here we got

So I mean, it, it is, it kind of focuses a little bit more on that line of scrimmage.

And to that point as well, when you look at the injury sheet, Brendan Black being probable, you know, maybe this isn't as big as far as, uh, who's gonna win the game, but just personnel, very interesting to see with, with him getting back in that lineup.

We've heard, we've seen more of Trey Balala on the offensive line.

We heard from Coach Holgerson this past week that he thinks he's one of the best five.

But can you get him in predictable pass rush situations? 'Cause that would be huge offensively.

Again, if you're in second and six versus second and eight or nine, that, that's gonna be huge for Nebraska's offense.

When it comes to Brendan Black, I, if he's out, you know, I think the logical thing is Gottula goes to guard.

If he's playing, then I wonder who starts at the other guard spot.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how they come out, um, to, to Lincoln for that one and kind of deal with all the noise in the program and certainly, uh, getting waxed by UCLA last week.

But Brendan Black, um, you know, we had kind of mentioned that, you know, he'd been, didn't finish the game, um, late.

What did you make of kind of Dana Holgerson's comments on Tuesday about just the offensive line picture and how they're potentially gonna use Ketula, Trev Bobulade, and, uh, Elijah Pritchett together, um, within the context of, you know, Black at least being probable or-

Mm-hmm

And he also said, Holgerson did, that Elijah Pritchett played really well, and so they didn't feel the need to, um, change him out at all.

You know, sometimes they've, they've moved Ketula around and put him over there at times.

And so I could definitely see a world, especially, you know, with if you don't wanna put, uh, all the workload on Brendan Black just yet, and maybe he's fine, but if you don't, Ketula is flexible enough that he can play any of the spots, and he could play that, that guard spot, and you could, you could roll with him and then Tre at right tackle, uh, Pritchett at left tackle.

That's sort of how all off-season we've talked about, like if, if this group is worth the, their salt and what they wanna be, they would have it established where they have six or seven guys where if you do get a guy dinged, like in a week like this, you can work around it, um, without it being a, a freak show.
