Breitscheidplatz

I'm a curator and a director and founder of CCA Berlin Center for Contemporary Arts, which is a new institution that I founded in 2022.

And since 2024, we have a beautiful modernist pavilion building designed by, um, German modernist architect Egon Eiermann, which is part of the memorial church on Breitscheidplatz, so right in the center of former West Berlin.

And the idea behind CCA Berlin was from the beginning to start and establish a new nonprofit center for contemporary arts in a city that apparently has it all.

But if you look what kind of like happened after reunification, there's so many artists that moved to the city, which is still one of its greatest qualities, and a lot of art spaces, off spaces, artist-run spaces.

Yeah, yesterday.

And the entire area around the Waldorf Astoria and Breitscheidplatz is completely, like, just blocked off due to road traffic.

And there's, like, military police vehicles stationed all around the hotel.

And those, well, those Baum, whatever you wanted, like, the block, like, screens.
