Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile

And, and like, you know, especially Knightsbridge or something like that.

Okay, well, now his first preference is the dirt mile.

Like, oh, okay, well, Sovereignty's first preference is the Classic, and that's where they're pointing, and you kinda get an idea.

Sovereignty throws a maybe he might just be the best horse scenario [laughs] into it.

And so, man, that, that makes a big difference.

And then it also, Knightsbridge, if we don't know if he's gonna be in the dirt mile or not, that makes that complicated.

And then European horses, you don't know, A, who's coming over, and then you don't know what race they're gonna run in yet.

T O Password, a name that we know, of course, from a terrific showing in the 2024 Kentucky Derby.

A lot of movement around the Classic, around the Dirt Mile, that sort of thing.

Where do you think he fits into the Breeders' Cup picture this year?

Well, um, Mr. Chuck had already made it pretty clear that he's kinda willing to do either one.

And so, you know, he really seemed to adapt well to the American style dirt.

So, you know, it, it should be...

I mean, taking on, if Knight's Bridge goes to the Dirt Mile, that's gonna be tough.

If he goes to the Classic, that's gonna be tough.

Um, he basically realized the only way you're gonna make this horse do anything good is by just getting him to the lead.

And by doing that, he swept the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile, um, the, the Whitney, the Peg- or no, the Pegasus World Cup, the Whitney Handicap or Stakes, um, and then the Breeders' Cup Classic, um, to become Horse of the Year at age five.
