Dan MurphyGUEST

I saw a lot of the Warped Tour livestream, and most of these bands are playing it, so it was cool to see, you know, after all these years, like Breathe Carolina and these artists you kind of don't keep up with.
DerekHOST

Yeah, I mean, really, I believe that's called Crunk Core, After the Drink, probably, yeah.

Troy SennettHOST

or kill caustic but it's like but not done by afi but it's bad it's really really bad to the point of being unlistenable or like broken side was the other really big one that was doing this i mean so many bands were doing this around that around that time like 2008 2009 and i i think this album inspired a lot of those bands and the willingness of a and the sort of daring nature of this band of afi to be able to say like we want to put our new wave and post-punk and synth driven dance driven influences into this you know that fusion of things it probably did feel very probably felt very fresh to them at the time when they're making this record it i imagine it felt fresh or at least like challenging to a lot of their fans which i think is i mean they always want to do that they have said before we think our fans would be disappointed if we made the same record twice yeah we'll get into that uh you know pin in that for later uh the other thing is i think that the the mall screamo i'm using that it's a very pejorative like way of describing this entire genre of bands that includes like silverstein and People know what you're talking about.
EdHOST

So outside of yourself, who are some of the artists that kinda defined that sound for you now?
LeahGUEST
3:47
Honestly, I mean, artists that I'm, like, really influenced or my album's really influenced off of specifically, like, records was, like, Hello Fascination by Breathe Carolina or Underdog Alma Mater by Forever The Sickest Kids.
LeahGUEST
3:59
Those were two albums that I feel like my producer and I listened to on repeat to kinda try and, like, pull inspo from when creating Rollercoaster Tycoon.
EdHOST

LeahGUEST
