Breadline Africa

And, you know, this is the interesting about serendipity because.

Here we are talking and I'm thinking, oh, I must introduce Sunil Isiwe to this charity, this NPO that I serve on the board, which is called Breadline Africa.

And so then she just mentioned it.

So you're doing some work with Breadline Africa? Yes.

So

we've been working with Breadline for a couple of years.

We work pretty closely with Re2Rise, which is an NGO, and we focus there on seven schools on just literacy enhancement and programs for young children.

We also work with Breadline Africa, which is another NGO, and we specifically focus there on ECD, early childhood development centers.

So we've got three, actually we had four projects with ECDs.

Unfortunately, one of those ECD projects we had to close or cancel as a result of the school that they had to close.

Today, though, I thought let's touch base with one of the other beneficiaries.

So it's a pleasure to have on the line with us a representative of Breadline Africa, which has been working in the education space for over 30 years now.

Let me do this and just walk you through the details of what to do if you want to support Funky Socks Day.

The day itself is this coming Friday, the 11th of September.

And then that gives you the right to wear those socks to work on Friday.

All of the money raised goes to the beneficiaries.

And let's see if we can try again with Janine McEvoy of Breadline Africa.

Thank you for having me.
