But even, I should say that even the people who were doing it for publication, and I can think of a few, even they sort of in their head had a, like were running an imaginary production.

So even if you're producing it for You know, I interviewed two Brazilian translators who, between them, are working through the plays in Brazilian Portuguese for the Penguin Classic series.

And the Penguin Classic series is a kind of, you know, prestigious sort of canonical book form thing, which is produced as a book, as, you know, codex bits of paper stuck together and footnotes and stuff.

Spotify DJ recently expanded from English and Spanish into French, German, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Spotify entered India in 2019 as the 10th music streaming service in that market and is now the leader, uh, uh, for audio streaming there, with India described as one of Spotify's largest markets by monthly active users.

Yeah, this past summer, Spotify launched a feature called Reserved in the US, which holds two concert tickets for fans before general on sale opens.

So it's fun mixing the three languages up.

Yeah, I did learn this over the Brazilian Portuguese, much different than Portugal Portuguese.

yeah.

I was using these phrases, and they were looking at me like, yeah, we don't say that here.

I had the opposite problem.

I went to Portugal at the beginning of 2025, and I'd walk in there with my Brazilian Portuguese, and I didn't understand a damn thing they were saying to me.

Yeah.

And I say that with a level of emotion because we need to wear that as a badge of honor, to the point where we, by the end of the week, we have, whether it's through interpretation or not, that we even taught Brazilians and Chileans how to say hard in English.

Um, because I think in Brazilian Portuguese, and the translators will laugh at me, I think it's, uh, difícil is, is hard, I think.

Right.

But the reason we help them understand that is that when you're in the trenches, um, when you're up against it, when your body battery is empty, that it's dragging yourself out of that we need to wear as a badge of honor.

I don't know if it's just not translating well that I'm recognizing that it's not standard Portuguese and they want to make sure I know that.

Or if there's like actually straight up a split between Brazilian Portuguese and Brazilian Spanish and nobody.

I don't know.

Like it sounds like there's drama and backstory there that I don't know.

Would it be similar in the difference between Canadian French and French French?

Yes.

For Brazilian Portuguese and Portuguese Portuguese? Yeah, apparently.

I think that is the take to have on it.

So it's funny, right? This gets into another topic.

And I think especially for, I mean, I think it applies to every niche, but in the language space, I'm sure a lot of language teaching YouTubers run into this issue also, which is a lot of your viewer base are native speakers who, you know, who for one reason or another... actually makes sense that people who speak their own language, people are interested in their own language, right? So there's not that many videos out there comparing European Portuguese with Brazilian Portuguese.

So obviously the people who are gonna be most interested in those videos are the people who already speak the language.

And want to see how the other variant works, especially Brazilians.

Okay, so I guess all of this that you just showed me on her page can be done on Teachable because it looks like a standard Teachable page, right? Yeah, I'm going to do that.

Okay, so that would be probably my suggestions is find a way like you were kind of saying you're already looking at doing or basically doing a promotion more often less branching less complicated less chance of something going wrong do bundles do your extra new courses as they come out do if there's anything that you can splinter from an existing course and sell separately that's another potential thing that you can do we do that quite often with people um if there's anything you've ever done live yeah so maybe within your b1 course there is a a bonus that you are that you've got included in there that is a pack of vocabulary or something like that or it's like okay this this section is just teaching you this particular bit sell that try selling that separately because it just gives you another thing to sell to make an offer of without just repeating exactly the same offer And it gives you a chance to try out selling something cheaper and see how does that do? How does that work? And then the upsell from that could be the whole B1 course afterwards, you know? So it's just every, about every four weeks, your audience is like, willing to hear about another offer without the unsubscribe rate going up too much we've done it every two weeks with people the unsubscribe rate tends to go up more we've done it every two months you don't they they haven't double recovered you know from having a promotions before so it's like you've just got this opportunity every month to sell something So it's just looking at what have you got? Have you ever done stuff live? Have you ever, have you got somebody else's course that you could promote? It's like, uh, maybe you actually want to learn Brazilian Portuguese.
