Who's Tex-Tex?

He's from, uh, uh, Bravestar.

Oh, okay.

All right.

Now we've always said on the Tom and Jerry show that the final segment we remember when would never just be as simple as us sitting around like, hey, do you remember Transformers? Do you remember Mask? Yeah.

Hey, do you remember Bravestar? So we do remember all these things.

We remember them fondly.

But another thing we remember, Tom, is that we were alive in the 80s.

He was sort of the go-to guy to do villains at Filmation.

He was also the voice of Prime Evil in Filmation's Ghostbusters and Stampede from Brave Star.

And he was Vanity Smurf on Smurfs.

Basically, in the 80s, every major voice actor either did a Smurf or a Transformer.

And there's his name for voice and, you know, the main character.

Bravestar, which missed me when I was a kid.

But it's, you know, 80s cartoon space western.

Yep.

He was in Muppet Babies, he was in Pound Puppies, he was in Johnny Quest.

He was in Brave Star.

Do you guys remember Brave Star?

I remember it.

I don't think I watch it, but I do remember.

He was Western.

The guy had a horse that would change into anyway.

He was in Brave Star.

And I mean, we've covered shameless toy tie-ins before, but it was an afterthought.

It was like, oh yeah, like Brave Star, for example.

That was a deeply failed toy tie-in.

But this right here.

They are trying to sell you stuff, right? I think this is one of the most shameless versions of it.

It is.

What's funny about this when you say most shameless is it reminds me so much of, say, Brave Star kind of stuff where- It seems like such crass capitalism of someone saying synergy, the Ridley Scott writing a dollar sign on a thing for synergy.

But it's well done.
