And now you know how painful something is by looking at the Schmidt Index.
Dave MooreHOST

Like there's an incredible YouTube channel called Brave Wilderness, okay? A guy called Coyote Peterson and Mark Vins.
Dave MooreHOST
5:44
And they go and get bitten by everything and relate it to the Schmidt Pain Index.
Dave MooreHOST
5:49
But they're doing it on YouTube.

AJ ScaramucciHOST

How did you get into that world?
Coyote PetersonGUEST
1:50
Sure, yeah, I mean, dinosaurs have always sort of been my first love, even though I'm most publicly known for the Brave Wilderness YouTube channel and all my forays into the world of animals, adventure, education, conservation, and certainly getting bitten and stung by things, which garners a lot of views.
Coyote PetersonGUEST
2:07
But, um, over the past couple of years, dinosaurs have sort of come into the forefront with a handful of projects that we are working on, both in the paleontological space with specimens coming out of the ground, but also the idea of, um, eventually creating a space where mixed reality will be bringing dinosaurs back on a one-to-one scale.
Coyote PetersonGUEST
2:25
So everything's fair game to talk about tonight, and, uh, excited to share with you guys, uh, really anything you got questions for.
Coyote PetersonGUEST
6:56
So I tell a lot, you know, a lot of times when I talk about my career and, and how I built it, I was heavily influenced by the Spielbergian sort of George Lucas era of influence.
Coyote PetersonGUEST
7:07
Like, toys were at their zenith when I was of age to be collecting toys.
Coyote PetersonGUEST
7:13
So all of those things combined together really influenced not only sort of how we then aim to build the Brave Wilderness brand, and embracing that idea of getting people excited about animals, which, you know, is its own unique pillar, but then you tie in dinosaurs, and then you tie in that world of things that are collectible, and you look at people our age, and it's like, "Holy cow, we're still into all this stuff." And when you grow up and you find a way to create a successful business, all of a sudden you start find yourself spending your money on the things that you wanted when you were a kid.
Coyote PetersonGUEST
7:43
So it's like this perfect cycle that can get really dangerous really quickly when it comes to filling up space.
